Welcome to Year 2!

In Year 2 we have two classes - Rowan Class and Chestnut Class

Rowan Class is taught by Mrs Yeomans (Monday-Wednesday) and Mrs Bene (Thursday and Friday).  Chestnut Class is taught by Mr Prentice.  Our teaching assistants are Mrs Duke, Mrs Moore and Mrs Lawlor.

In Year 2 some of learning is topic based. These include:

  • London with a focus on the 'Great Fire of London.'

  • Significant people including Guy Fawkes, Mary Seacole and Florence Nightingale

  • Australia

In the Spring term we have a drama workshop exploring the events of the Great Fire of London.

In the Summer term we start our Habitats topic with a visit to Nower Wood to explore the different habitats within the woodland, along the way trying pond dipping and hunting for mini beasts.
