Year 4 Homework
Homework is set every Friday and will be due in the next Friday.
Homework set on Friday 20th March 2026.
This will be the last homework set until the children return after Easter.
This week, the children’s homework focuses on developing their understanding of adverbs and strengthening their recall of times tables.
Spelling
Pupils should practise adverbs, which are set on EdShed. They will be tested on these on Friday.
Maths
This week’s maths homework on MyMaths focuses on mixed times tables practice. Pupils have activities set to support this learning. Please encourage your child to complete these carefully and check their answers before submitting.
History and Maths
Children have been given a History and Maths project on Roman numerals, which is available on Teams. They are expected to create a booklet to present their understanding. Please encourage your child to take pride in their work and present it neatly.
Times tables
Children should continue to use TT Rockstars in Garage mode to build speed and accuracy with their multiplication and division facts. Regular, short practice sessions are best for improving fluency.
Reading
Please ensure your child reads regularly at home, aiming for five short sessions across the week. It would be very helpful if parents could record these in the reading record each time their child reads.
There is also an additional extra homework to help reinforce the new Recycling Rules. The children do not have to do this but it would be a good way to keep them occupied and help save the environment.
Thank you for supporting your child’s learning at home and helping them to maintain strong weekly homework routines.
