Year 4 Homework Summary This Week

This week, the children’s homework focuses on strengthening their times tables knowledge in preparation for the Multiplication Tables Check next week, as well as continuing to build spelling accuracy.

Spelling - Pupils will be set either challenge words, or words that are plurals with possessive apostrophes, on EdShed. They will be tested on these on Friday.

Maths - This week’s maths homework is closely linked to times tables practice. On MyMaths, pupils have activities focused on times tables, and they should also continue using TT Rockstars in Garage mode. As we have the Multiplication Tables Check next week, it is very important that children practise regularly at home. The more frequent practice they have, the more confident and fluent they will become.

Reading - Please ensure your child reads regularly at home, aiming for five short sessions across the week. It would be very helpful if parents could record these in the reading record each time their child reads.
