Year 6 Homework

Homework is set every Friday and will be due in the next Friday.

For Year 6, Homework will be set using Microsoft TEAMS (General | Year 6 Team 25.26 | Microsoft Teams) .

The children can access Teams using their normal login via O365.com (on any internet browser) or the Teams app available on Apple or Google.

All logins for other platforms can be found on the login sheet sent home at the start of the year.

SATS REVISION – HOMEWORK FOR NEXT 3 WEEKS! 
 
For Homework for w/b 20.03.26 and through the Easter Holidays you have the CGP SATs revision booklets to work on.  Lots of you (and Parents) have asked for an idea of what homework you can be doing each day so there is a 'suggested' schedule attached for the next few weeks.  You do NOT have to stick to this and you can adapt it to suit the time you have available – it is just to give you an idea of how you can manage the tasks.    
Please use the answers at the back of the book to mark your work in a different colour pen and re-work any that you got wrong.  
We will go through the first set of tests on Tuesday (24.03.26) to check that you are OK using the booklets so remember to bring them in with you on Tuesday 24th. 

Reading - 20 minutes (or more!) reading per day.

Collect 5 WOW words per week and look up their meanings in a dictionary. All reading (and WOW words) should be recorded on the Reading Record found on Teams (link above). You may also take a paper copy of the Reading Record which you can complete, photograph and upload to Teams.

Comprehension - 30 minutes comprehension task set on Teams.

English - SPaG (Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar) SPAG Tests Online - Practice Grammar & Punctuation Tests Online. 20 minutes per week set on SPaG.com (via link in Teams or above) plus 20 minutes per week Spelling homework set on Teams to learn focused spelling words.

Maths - 30 minutes per week set on MyMaths.com (Home - MyMaths or link in Teams) or focused Maths questions set on Teams.

TTRockstars - 5-10 minutes at least 3 times per week to practise times tables (Times Tables Rock Stars: Play).

There will be battles between Juniper and Elm.
