Equality and Diversity

At St Paul’s, our vision and six school values are the basis of our school life; they permeate all we do. We strive to nurture everyone within our community and actively support practices that promote genuine equality of opportunities for all children and staff.

We are committed to inclusive attitudes and practices for all within and beyond our school community, recognising our obligation under the Equality Act 2010, to oppose all forms of unlawful and unfair discrimination, bullying and harassment and will make every effort to comply with the requirements of the Act and its subsequent provisions.

We comply with the Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014 and make our curriculum accessible for those with disabilities or special educational needs. We value uniqueness and strive to ensure our policies and practices enable everyone to flourish.

We aim to meet our obligations under the public sector equality duty by having due regard to the need to:

  • eliminate unlawful discrimination, harassment and victimisation and other conduct that is prohibited by the Equality Act 2010;

  • advance equality of opportunity between people who share a protected characteristic and people who do not share it; and

  • foster good relations across all characteristics – between people who share a protected characteristic and people who do not share it.

In our vision statement, we value uniqueness and strive to ensure everyone feels nurtured.

SHAPING FUTURES, INSPIRING CURIOSITY

At St Paul’s Church of England Primary School, we follow the example of St Paul (Acts 20:22–24), committing ourselves to a mission where our community flourishes—academically, socially and emotionally.

We strive for academic excellence through a culture of curiosity, creativity and high expectations, giving every child the opportunity to reach their full potential. Central to St Paul’s is a strong sense of community, where staff, pupils and families work together to provide pastoral care and nurture a lifelong love of learning.

As a Church of England school, our Christian values guide us, but we welcome and celebrate children and families of all faiths and none, fostering an environment of respect, inclusion and belonging to ensure everyone feels valued and can thrive.
