Year 5 Homework

Homework is set every Friday and will be due in the next Friday.

This will be the last homework set for this academic year.

Homework set on Friday 2nd October 2026. 

English:
Students have been given an English homework focusing on writing noun phrases. This is in their homework folder.

Maths:
There is a MyMaths task based on the work we have been doing in class this week. The focus is on addition and subtraction.

Spelling:
Spelling homework is set on EdShed.

Group 1: Words with the suffix -al

Group 2: Words with the prefix sub-, meaning below or further divided.

Times Tables:

Please spend 20 minutes during the week on TTRS. There is a battle set up between Lime and Cedar. The top 10 players in this contest will get 5 house points each.

Topic:
Students have also been given a topic homework to explore a country in North America and create a fact file about it. They will have the opportunity to present their fact file to the class.

The topic homework is due on Monday 12th October. All other homework is due next Friday.
