Clubs and Activities

We have a wide variety of clubs and extra-curricular activities on offer at St. Paul's at different times of the year.

From our founding in 1860, St. Paul's has always enjoyed a fantastic range of sporting activities and achievements.  A small selection of the sporting clubs that we offer are below, for more information have a look at our Sport page in this section and look out for details in the Newsletters.

Within school, the staff offer a variety of sporting opportunities, often linked to competitions with local schools, including:

  • Cross-Country Club - With regular races across the local area
  • Tag Rugby, Boys and Girls Football, Hockey, Cricket and Rounders
  • Athletics- indoor and outdoor
  • Gymnastics

However, it is not just Sports clubs that we are able to offer.  The following clubs are run by members of Staff, outside volunteers and paid-for outside agencies.

Whilst not all available at the same time, here is just a selection of what we offer:

  • Two St Paul's Choirs, split by age across the school.

  • St Paul's School Orchestra, open to all children who are learning a wind, brass or string instruments in or out of school, whatever their standard.

  • Art and craft, chess, computing and story clubs- run by staff at lunchtimes and after School at different times of the year.

  • Cooking Club

  • A popular gardening club, which helps to maintain the pupils' flower and veggie beds.

  • Le Club Francais- for our younger children after school.

  • Photography Club, run by Lillian Spibey on Tuesday after school  Lillian@lillianspibeyphotography.com

  • Netball club for Year 5 run by staff. 

  • Wildlife Club, Run by our Site Manager Mr Smith, who is always discovering new and exciting animals in and around our semi-rural environment. You can find out about some of our more furry residents on our wildlife page.

  • Homework Club for Years 5 and 6.

  • Website Editorial Club.

  • An after-school football club run by Chelsea FC.

  • St Paul's Panthers - formed in 2001, and run entirely by parent volunteers for children in Years 1-6 on Saturdays. They meet to train and play matches at the school and at the Friends Life Sports Ground.  Have a look at the Sports page in this section for more details.
