Pupil Wellbeing

For all children:

Talk Time - accessible for all children - each lunchtime a member of staff, who is a mental health first-aider, is available to talk to children about any concerns or worries that they may have.  Children may choose to come to Talk Time, or may be directed by another adult.

Listening boxes - each class has a box that children can add a note to - this may be something that they are happy about and want to share, or a worry that they would like to talk about more.

Learning Space – provides solution focused support for children and young people who are struggling to manage big feelings, have low self-esteem or who are going through a difficult time. More information can be found at http://www.learningspace.org.uk

For identified children:

ELSA - We have ELSA sessions available to any children who have been identified as requiring additional emotional support.  This is overseen by the SENCO and usually runs in half termly blocks.

Home School Link Worker - Our Home School Link Worker works with many families within the school and at times will work with children either individually or as part of a small group

Young Carers - A weekly group is being set up for any Young Carers who are in school to attend.  This club is to enable the children to be able to mix with other children in a similar situation to them and to give a voice to children who are Young Carers within our school, so that they feel supported and are able to access any support that they need.   We currently have a draft policy that has been shared with parents and will be discussed with the identified Young Carers to ensure that they are feeling supported.
