Christmas at St. Paul's
It has been a busy week this week, with the whole school celebrating and reflecting on the true meaning of Christmas.
On Tuesday morning and Wednesday evening Key Stage 2 staged an amazing Christmas service. During the service there were readings and prayers from key stage 2 reminding us all about the Christmas story. Year 3 and 4 then put on an absolutely brilliant production called, ‘The Inn-spectors.’ All the children spoke loudly and all the singing was brilliant with a special mention for the fantastic star song. Although the play was light hearted, it had an important message for us all. It reminded us how the gift of Jesus is for everyone.
On Wednesday Key Stage 1 put on their performance of the nativity called 'Busy Busy Bethlehem'. Despite being the younger members of the school community, all the children put on an exceptional performance and the way they sang the songs and spoke their words with such enthusiasm was really impressive and should be commended wholeheartedly. One could tell when watching the performance how much the children had learnt about the Christmas story.
Also on Wednesday Early Years performed their Christmas nativity. It is always impressive, how the youngest members of the school community can speak and sing so loudly. Their costumes were also really great and it was nice to see the smiles on their faces.
All the children deserve to be congratulated for their performances and for all the practising they did to make the performances so great.
It has been a busy week here at St. Paul’s but a week where as a community we have come together to celebrate the greatest gift.
