Busy busy busy in Year 1!
Year 1 are so busy it can be hard to keep up!
Here's just two of the astonishing, brilliant, and a little-bit-mysterious things that happened yesterday...
First up, there was high drama in Maple Class, when a terrible thing happened! Whilst Maple were in assembly, SOMEONE- or maybe even SOMETHING- entered the room and too the egg and hatchery!

Tables had been moved, chairs tipped over and sticks were everywhere. The eagle-eyed detectives in Maple then found a clue under the doormat- a book. They read the book to see if they could work out what had happened to the egg. They discovered that they needed to practise skills in trickery and problem-solving so that if they meet a giant, monster, or maybe even a wicked witch or wizard, they are able to think on their feet to find a way to rescue the egg or dragon within.
As if that wasn't enough, Sycamore provided this update of their goings on:
Sycamore have been learning all about St. George- his flag and where it fits into the Union flag, not to mention the legend of him slaying a dragon.
They made finger puppets to retell the story and a rose to wear- the emblem of England.

What a fantastic day for both classes!
