Go, Year 3 Vikings!
If you've been following the adventures of the Year 3 & 4 choir, you'll already know that being a Viking is, well, very exciting- and this week Year 3 set out to prove just that.
Wearing their finest Viking clothes and bearing a variety of very impressive shields and weaponry, our young Scandinavians arrived at school on Wednesday ready to face the might of the gods themselves (that'll be Mr Monk and Mrs Speight, obviously!).
As part of a brilliant Viking Day, the children took part in workshops, roleplays and more, learning all about where the Vikings came from, how they led their life and what they ate. They took part in Viking battles (resulting in a couple of rather impressive Viking funerals) and handled real artefacts.
