The School Day

The school day starts at 8.55am when the register is taken in each class.

Before this, classrooms are open from 8.45am and the entrances will be opened at this time. All children say goodbye at their assigned year group outside doors/gates which helps to develop their independence.  All doors/gates are manned by one or two members of staff should your child need a little extra support at drop-off time.

Assembly is daily, either in the morning before Break or at the end of the day before Hometime.  We have whole school assemblies three times a week, taken by members of the Senior Leadership Team as well as visitors from the St. Paul's Church team.

School lunches are freshly prepared on the premises, with all children in Years R, 1 and 2 entitled to a free cooked school lunch.

Younger children begin their hour's lunch break at 11.45am, followed by the rest of the school at 12.05pm.

All children have a staggered morning break; Years R-2 also have a short afternoon break.

The main school day finishes at 3.15pm for infants, and 3.20pm for junior (Key Stage 2) pupils.

This equates to a school week of 31.25 hours for infants and 32 hours for juniors, not including before or after school wraparound care or clubs.
