This week, Lime Class (Year 5) did a class assembly to begin Black History Month. The assembly was all about inspiration and how both now and in the past there have been lots of people from all different backgrounds who have inspired and motivated others. The assembly mentioned a few figures from the past and those of more recent times like Marcus Rashford, Benjamin Zephaniah and Mae Jamieson and how they have inspired others. It reminded us of the important role education can have in making life better and how anyone can be a role model and an inspiration to others.
