St. Paul’s C of E Primary School

Creativity Shines in Art week

This week we have done Renoir proud!

As a whole school we started by looking at his Umbrella painting and then we took the theme and each year group have worked on interpreting it in different ways – in Art and in English. Each child has produced a fantastic piece of art and worked together as a group to make a large scale piece as well. There has been an excited buzz around the school and paint everywhere! On Thursday, we all dressed as artists – you have never seen so many Banksies, Frida Karlos and colourful crayons in one place. So much imagination went into the costumes (thank you for that) – we even had earless Van Goghs and one Yayoi Kusama with her red spots. We can’t wait to show you our finished pieces at our Art Exhibition on 19th June (in the Hall 2.45 – 5.30pm).
