Year One out and about!
Year One have had rather a busy week this week! On Tuesday, they went out to our copse to build leaf homes for their clay hedgehogs to hibernate whilst, over two days, both classes have visited Dorking Museum to learn about William Mullins- the Dorking-born shoemaker who was one of the passengers who sailed to America on the Mayflower in 1620, becoming part of the first community of European settlers there.
Apologies if some of the photos are at 90 degrees- camera trouble!
I think it's because the Mayflower sailed half way around the world.....or at least that's what I'm telling myself!
