Easter Pause Day 2017
It's been another wonderful, uplifting Easter Pause Day today in school. Right across the school, children have enjoyed re-telling, talking about, and digging further into the Easter story.
An extra highlight this year was a fantastic reflective workshop at St. Paul's Church. Kindly set up by the whole team, a series of interactive activities and zones kept each yeargroup in turn engaged, pretty much spellbound and reflecting on each theme as they moved independently around the church. From the youngest to the oldest, all of the staff agreed that the children were captivated by the activities and brilliantly behaved. One child said on returning to school 'I don't think we've ever been that quiet!' We're hoping to bottle the atmosphere for future use!
Thank you so much to all at the church for organising everything for us and for letting us take over the whole building!
Meanwhile back in school, there was plenty more on offer, from Easter baskets, tissue collages, board game construction and much more- with everything designed to allow us to ask the important who, where, what and- crucially- the WHYs about the Easter story.
We will be sharing our work together on Friday in church for a very informal Easter service- we hope to see you there!
Here are just a selection of the early photos from today's work across different classes.
