The Friday before half-term (3rd February 2023), a team of 24, year 6 and year 5 students made they way to the Ashcombe School to take part in a Surrey athletics competition, against 7 other local schools in order to reach the county finals.

The competition was a fantastic experience including challenging running events, fun obstacle relays and exiting fielding activities. “Let’s get racing.” enthused Zoe whilst preparing for her race.

As everyone waited with anticipation to hear the final results, slowly they revealed the winners and, amazingly, St. Paul's came 3^rd but unfortunately, we won’t make it to the next round.

What a wonderful day and incredible experience. Students can’t wait to take part in next year's event.
